Let's talk Still Me by Jojo Moyes

Louisa Clark returns with a new job, in a new city, with new friends set amongst the glorious life of high society New York. Lou is determined to embrace her new life keep her promise to “just live”. But when a new acquaintance brings with them a whisper of her past, it begs the question – Who is Louisa Clark?

When I heard there was going to be a third addition to the heartbreakingly beautiful series that is ‘Me Before You’, I was ecstatic! I knew, before anything had even been announced, that I was going to drop everything to read it and that was exactly what I did!

I started and finished Still Me in the space of a weekend. It was charming, addictive, utterly, utterly beautiful and everything I wanted it to be and more. Reading about Louise Clark is like reuniting with an old friend.

I loved the homage to Will that Moyes created in these novel, flashbacks to Will’s time in New York. These letters opened various chapters and gave us an insight into his life before and a deeper understanding in the choice he made. Even though the story focuses on Lou creating a new life, for me they made the story come full circle. Will’s “just live” speech is the inspiration behind every bold choice Lou makes and it felt right to have a little part of him there with her.

There isn’t much I can say about Still Me that I haven’t already said about the other two, except READ THE BOOK!!!
