BOOK REVIEW - Fairy Keeper by Amy Bearce

I absolutely loved this book! It has everything I love in it, fairies, mermaids, unicorns...  This book promised to be a good read and it didn't disappoint.

The story is set in a fictional world, Aluvia, where humans live alongside every kind of mythical creature you can think of, mermaids, fairies, dragons, fauns, ect. This instantly made the book my cup of tea as I love fantasy books and one with mermaids and fairies combined is even better!

It is written in the third person narrative giving the reader the sense that they are their with the characters experiencing and watching everything which makes you even more intrigued to read more. It also means you are able to have a detached connection to the characters and get to see them in many different ways rather than in one way through the eyes of one character making them more relatable and easier to love.

The plot of the story is my favorite type, action packed fantasy with a little bit of romance intertwined within that it is a perfect accompaniment and not too over powering. At the same time, the focus isnt completely on the action which makes it softer to read and give you an "on the edge of your seat" experience.

The characters are easy to love very early on. Right at the beginning of the book it is established who you are meant to love and who you are meant to hate adding to the suspense and depth of the book. However, although some characters are clearly good or bad, other characters go through a development as the story progresses which makes it more interesting to read.

I would thoroughly recommend this book to any fantasy/fairy/mermaid/mythical creature lover as it has something for everybody. I cant wait to read more of Amy's books in the future!
