BOOK REVIEW - Dawn Study by Maria V. Snyder

I have said it many times before and I will say it again, Maria V. Snyder is my favourite author of all time! I love her books and for that reasons it makes me really sad that I didn't love unconditionally. For some reason I feel like this book is anti-climatic and not how I envisioned the last 'Chronicles of Ixia' book :(

In all her previous books there is page turning action and suspense in every chapter and sadly I just didn't feel that with this book. It was my love for the characters, wanting to see how their story ends, and the humour that kept me turning the page.

In terms of humour, it certainly didn't disappoint! I was laughing at almost every page, and I feel like I've fallen in love with the characters a little more knowing this was the last adventure with them.

I can't event put my dislike down to her writing as it is still as good as its every been. She truly is a talented writer. the story just consumes you and even the smallest word choices make all the difference and really bring the story to life.

I love Maria's books, this world in particular, and they have been such a big part of my life for 6 years now and it's safe to say I did cry a little at the end, but in my opinion this book lost it's way a little compared to the previous five.
