MANICURE OF THE MONTH - Allegiant

Hi everyone and welcome to Manicure Monday, a weekly feature that combines my love of reading and nail art. Each week I will be showcasing my currant book and a matching manicure.

This week I'm following up with the Divergent series manicure I posted last week and since I currently reading the last book in the series, Allegiant, I decided to do a manicure for that.

I started off by applying one coat of Barry M Gelly Hi Shine Nail Varnish (349 Blueberry) to all of my nails to represent that dark clouds on the cover. I then dabbed two different colors of green from the Barry M Gelly Hi Shine Nail (321 Greenberry and 350 Guava) for the lighter colored clouds on every finger by the middle one.

Once that had dried, I used a Barry M White Nail Art Pen to add in specks of white on the clouds and to draw a feather on the middle finger.
Once it was all dry, I applied a clear nail varnish to give the rough looking clouds a smooth texture and an extra shine and cleaned up around the nail.

And here is the finished product;

The clouds didn't turn out the way I wanted them too but they link to the cover and look a little bit like the clouds in a strange way.
